Fairy tales project (2)

This activity involves collaboration in groups to write a story that uses the target language.
The task for my class is that they’re going to write a fairy tale and I ask them how the story should start. This is to elicit ‘Once upon a time…’.
To generate a simple, short story I ask questions like :
Who is your hero?
Where did the story take place/happen?
 When did it happen?
 What did he/she do? 
What happened next?
 How does the story end?
To help them choose their heroes , we play the following board game. 
In this way each group has at least 3 heroes to work with, in their story.
Students plan their writing the way they like and at the same time they use the target language structures.
